A 32-year-old Arnold woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she crashed an SUV into a street sign at the end of Lakeland Court, a dead-end street. The woman was not injured in the accident, Arnold Police reported.
The woman allegedly hit the sign with a 2022 Honda CR-V at about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 22. She allegedly walked away from the accident, and officers found her walking along nearby Airglades Drive, the report said.
Police reportedly determined the woman had been driving the SUV and suspected she had been drinking. The woman allegedly refused to perform field sobriety tests, but she was arrested, according to the report.
She was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released to a sober driver, the report said.
Arnold Police issued the woman summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged DWI and driving without proof of insurance, Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
