Arnold Police are investigating the second case of vandalism inside the restrooms at Ferd B. Lang Park since April 11. The latest incident happened on June 20 in the men’s restroom where graffiti was spray-painted on the walls, police reported.

Maj. Clinton Wooldridge said Arnold Police have increased patrols at the park, 1820 Old Lemay Ferry Road, and other city properties because of the vandalism.

“We are trying to put a stop to this,” he said. “We are increasing our patrols at all city properties.”

The latest incident happened between about 7 a.m. and 9:10 p.m. June 20, when graffiti was spray-painted on the rear men’s bathroom walls and mirrors. The cost to clean the bathroom was estimated at $500, the report said.

On April 11, graffiti was spray-painted on the walls in the women’s restroom, and a sink was ripped off the wall and a toilet and all the toilet paper holders were broken. In addition, toilet paper was thrown around the room, according to the report.

Also that day graffiti was found sprayed on the walls, urinals and stall partitions in the men’s restroom, and the toilet paper holders were broken off the wall, the report said.

The damage from that incident was estimated at about $1,000, according to the report.

As of June 30, no suspects had been identified from either of the incidents, Wooldridge said. Anyone with information about the incidents should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
