Arnold Police are trying to locate a red and white box truck reportedly involved in a hit-and-run incident on Hwy. 141 south of Astra Way. A van owned by Ed Morse Parts Center in Red Bud, Ill., allegedly was struck by the truck, police reported.
A 50-year-old Red Bud, Ill., man said he was driving the 2015 van south on Hwy. 141 at about 1:20 p.m. March 3, when the box truck merged into his lane and struck the passenger side of the van, causing it to spin out of control south of Astra Way. The person driving the truck didn’t stop and continued south on Hwy. 141, the report said.
The hood, headlight and passenger-side rear door on the van was damaged. The cost to repair the van was not provided, Arnold Police said.
As of March 9, the truck that reportedly struck the van had not been located, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the accident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
