Arnold Police are investigating the theft of approximately 120 feet of copper wire. The theft left some AT&T customers without service, police reported.

An AT&T employee called police at about 9:40 a.m. June 18 after discovering the wire was taken off a pole that is in a wooded area between Apple Drive and the 3300 block of Telegraph Road. Based on when some customers lost service, it is believed the wire was stolen at about 1 a.m. that morning, the report said.

The approximate cost to replace the wire was $1,000, according to the report.

As of June 26, the wire had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
