A 29-year-old Arnold woman and 39-year-old Imperial man were arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Starling Airport Road near Mount Vernon Drive in Arnold. A 51-year-old Arnold man also was arrested on an outstanding warrant, Arnold Police reported.
An officer at about 7:20 p.m. Feb. 8 stopped a 2000 Ford Taurus, which the woman was driving, due a window tint violation, the report said.
A bag containing a crystal-like substance and drug paraphernalia was allegedly found under the driver’s seat. The woman allegedly had a gun in her purse, according to the report.
The Imperial man allegedly had a hypodermic syringe that contained a suspicious liquid in his backpack. He allegedly had drug paraphernalia concealed in his pants, the report said.
The Arnold man was wanted by the Eureka Police on an active warrant, according to the report.
The three were taken to the Police Station, where the woman and Imperial man were released pending the application for a warrant. The Arnold man was held for the Eureka Police, the report said.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman and Imperial through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He also said Arnold Police will seek an unlawful use of a weapon charge against the woman.
