Arnold Police arrested a 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both of St. Louis, after they reportedly stole $906.92 worth of tools from Home Depot, 3865 Vogel Road. After the alleged theft, the two were spotted traveling in a pickup and were pulled over, police reported.

Officers got a call at approximately 3 p.m. Oct. 14 that the two allegedly had filled a cart with tools and left the store without paying. An employee confronted the pair, but they got into a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and drove away, the report said.

An officer pulled over the pickup on Vogel Road near the store, and the two suspects were taken to the Police Station, where they were booked and released pending application for charges, according to the report.

Arnold Police will seek charges against the man and woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for stealing, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
