A 40-year-old Dittmer woman recently was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at Gordmans in Arnold while she had four children with her. The incident occurred about 3:15 p.m. April 4, Arnold Police report.
The women allegedly had her daughter and son and two nephews with her when she stole $138.90 in merchandise from the store. The children ranged in age from 4-12, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
Store security apprehended the woman and called Arnold Police to the scene. She was issued summonses at the scene to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and endangering the welfare of a child. In addition, Arnold Police reported the incident to Children’s Division, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
