A 39-year-old Arnold man was arrested for allegedly threatening another man with a pistol outside a home in the 1700 block of Janet Drive in Arnold. The alleged victim, a 32-year-old Hazelwood man, was at the home to repossess a vehicle, Arnold Police reported.
The Hazelwood man told police the vehicle he was supposed to repossess was not at the home. He said he was inside his tow truck writing a report when the suspect came out of the home holding a pistol in his hand and yelling at him, the report said.
The alleged victim drove away from the suspect and when he was near the intersection of Astra Way and Hwy. 141, called the police at about 10:30 a.m. May 23. Officers arrived at the scene, and while they were talking with the victim in a nearby parking lot, the suspect showed up, according to the report.
The suspect told police he did not have a gun, but he was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending application for charges. Arnold Police will seek a charge against the Arnold man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for first-degree harassment, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
