Arnold Police got a call about an alleged shoplifting incident at the Auto Zone, 548 Jeffco Blvd., and ended up arresting 41-year-old Arnold man and a 35-year-old Festus woman for alleged possession of controlled substances. The incident happened about 5 p.m. Aug. 7, the report said.
The man allegedly had stolen a battery charger valued at $64. In addition, he reportedly was found with methamphetamine. The woman who was with him allegedly was found with ecstasy, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The two were booked and released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek felony drug charges against both of them through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. In addition, charges will be sought against the man for stealing, Jones said.
