A 42-year-old Arnold man and a 41-year-old Ellisville woman, both wanted on outstanding warrants, were arrested for alleged drug possession after an officer spotted them in a pickup with an expired license plate in the Arnold Commons complex. The two were arrested at 7:57 a.m. Feb. 2, Arnold Police reported.
The officer stopped at the pickup, a 2003 Ford F250, and learned that the woman had an outstanding warrant from the Bridgeton Police Department for a traffic violation. When the man got out of the pickup, he was found with a small coin purse that allegedly contained drug paraphernalia and capsules that appeared to be heroin. The man also had an outstanding warrant through the Ballwin Police Department for possession of marijuana, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
When the two were transported to the Arnold Police Station, the woman allegedly was found with a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine. The woman was booked and released to Bridgeton Police, and the man was booked and released to Ballwin Police, Jones said.
He said Arnold Police will have the two substances tested and, depending on the results, will seek charges for possession of meth against the woman and charges for possession of heroin against the man.
