A 29-year-old Arnold man has been arrested in connection with a car that was stolen from Imperial and later found burned in the city of St. Louis. The 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse was stolen March 4 from outside a home in the 800 block of Country Glen Drive, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
It was stolen about 10:30 a.m. March 4 while the victim left the car running in his driveway to warm it up. As he was getting dressed, he heard a car door slam and saw a suspect driving away in the Eclipse. The car was valued at about $2,000, the report said.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said March 12 he did not know the date the burned car was discovered. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
