A 42-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly stealing three guitars and a violin from a relative’s home in the 3800 block of Baeumner Drive in Arnold. The guitars were valued at $8,000 altogether, and the violin at $12,000, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The theft was reported at 9:14 p.m. Aug. 16. Later, the suspect, who was located at the Pleasant View Motel just south of Arnold, was found with a pawn ticket in his pocket, Arnold Police reported.
The guitars were not recovered, but the violin was, Jones said Aug. 23.
He said the suspect already was wanted on outstanding warrants from other law enforcement agencies. After the man was booked, he was not held for the other agencies, though, because he was released due to medical conditions.
Arnold Police will seek felony stealing charges against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
