A 23-year-old Arnold man was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance and later turned over to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, which wanted him on warrants for traffic violations, Arnold Police reported.

At about 8:30 a.m. April 26, Arnold Police got a call about a suspicious person at the Richardson Place Apartment complex in the 3200 block of Richardson Place Drive because the man reportedly was sitting at a picnic table with a TV under a blanket. When officers arrived, they allegedly discovered he had multiple white pills and a glass smoking device, the report said.

He was arrested, transported to the Arnold Police station, booked and then released to the custody of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Depending on drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man for possession of a controlled substance through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Major Brian Carroll said.
