A 39-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife and damaging her vehicle. At 7:41 p.m. June 20, Arnold Police got a call about a disturbance at a home in the 2100 block of Park Drive and found the couple there, the report said.
The woman told officers that her husband, who apparently had been drinking, pushed her and then as she sat in her vehicle, he struck it with a hatchet. The woman was not seriously hurt, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The man was booked, held for 12 hours and then released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek second-degree assault charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of June 28, though, no charges had been filed, Jones said.
