An Arnold couple recently was arrested for assault following a domestic dispute at a home in the 2000 block of Essex Drive. The incident occurred about 5:50 a.m. June 19, Arnold Police report.
The two, a 20-year-old woman and her 21-year-old boyfriend, reportedly had been drinking and then got into an argument. They allegedly shoved each other, and the man reportedly struck the woman. Then, the woman reportedly got a knife and started chasing her boyfriend with it, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
No one was seriously hurt, he said. The two were arrested, held for 12 hours and then released pending application for warrants.
Arnold Police will seek assault charges against the two, as well as unlawful use of a weapon charges against the woman, through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of June 23, no charges had been filed, Jones said.
