The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating thefts from three homes under construction in the same Fenton-area neighborhood. The thefts happened between April 15 and April 17, the report said.
One theft was at a home in the 100 block of Autumn Bluff Court, where someone forced entry into the home and then stole a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, two light fixtures, two toilets and a double oven, the report said.
The other two thefts were at homes in the 1000 block of Autumn Valley Court. There were no signs of forced entry into those two homes, which had “unsecured entryways,” Cpl. Matthew Moore said.
At one of those homes, the culprit cut a lock that was securing copper wiring and a ladder and stole them. At the other home, the thief stole a furnace, the report said.
In all, the stolen items from all three homes were valued at $5,000. As of April 21, none of the stolen items had been recovered, Moore said.
He said there were no suspects or arrests either. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
