Appliances, collectibles and other items valued at $67,750 were stolen from a home in the 7000 block of Dittmer Ridge Road in Dittmer. The burglary happened between Feb. 16 and March 2, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim told deputies that when he returned home on March 2, he found the front door open and off its hinges and numerous items missing. The stolen items included a dryer, a refrigerator, two wooden toy boxes, a couch, a love seat, a chair, a VCR/DVD player, a child’s golf club set, assorted jewelry, a Bowflex treadmill, DVD movies, assorted books, snap-in flooring, a bathroom vanity, comic books, action figures, an air-conditioning unit, an SKS rifle and a black powder rifle.

Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Matthew Moore said March 9 that no items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515
