A section of Gravois Road east of North Valley Del Drive in unincorporated Fenton will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. Monday (July 20) to replace a box culvert. The project is scheduled to be complete by mid-October, weather permitting, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced.
Crews will demolish the existing box culvert under Gravois Road and build a new culvert, which will carry Saline Creek under eastbound and westbound Hwy. 30 and Gravois Road, according to MoDOT.
During the closure, drivers may access Hwy. 30 on the west of Valley Del and on the east by Summit Drive and Gravois Bluffs Boulevard, MoDOT advised.
MoDOT communications specialist Rachel V. Sudduth said Gershenson Construction was awarded the construction contract for the project, which will cost “a little over” $3 million.
She said the project will improve drainage and water flow under the road.
