A "time warp" Rolls-Royce kept in a climate-controlled garage is up for auction.

Described as museum-quality, experts estimate the 1977 Silver Shadow I will sell for between $87,500 and $112,500.

H&H Classics said the prestige vehicle has had just one owner and has only covered 604 miles from new.

Paul Cheetham, senior motor car specialist at H&H Classics, said: “We’re thrilled to be auctioning this time warp Rolls-Royce, surely unrepeatable considering its mileage, ownership and originality.

“While Silver Shadows were built in relatively large numbers and have a high survival rate, we very much doubt that another will come to market that’s as good as this one.”

H&H Classics said much of the mileage was completed in the first few months of the car's life, and it was then driven just a dozen miles a year or less.

In 1993, the Rolls was placed into storage showing just 590 miles, before being brought out in 1998 for use at a family wedding, bringing its total mileage to the incredibly low 604 figure.

Cheetham added: “This is a unique opportunity, and we hope the new owner will show this amazing Rolls-Royce from time to time.”

The car will be auctioned by H&H Classics on June 17 in Nottinghamshire.
