MISSOULA, Mont. — A Missoula traffic stop video spread online after it showed a woman being tased during an arrest.
The encounter started as a routine traffic stop on August 29, 2025. Video footage showed the situation escalate when an officer fired a taser through the driver's side window.
The woman then fell to the ground and officers took her into custody in handcuffs.
The Missoula Police Department said it had already disciplined the officer involved after an internal investigation found his use of force violated department policy.
Police said that review and disciplinary action were completed months before the video began circulating on social media.
