Vice President JD Vance says the federal government will continue looking at ways to recoup taxpayer money that has gone to subsidize cheap labor across the United States. The Center Square's Sarah Roderick-Fitch asked Vance whether companies could be held liable when underpaid immigrant workers and their families in high-cost areas qualify for SNAP, educational, and other public benefits. He said the administration has already moved to limit welfare use by newcomers, including in some mortgage application programs, and will continue to look for ways to recoup the costs.
