The iconic jumpsuit worn by martial arts film legend Bruce Lee in his final film is set to sell for more than $100,000.

The yellow-and-black jumpsuit worn by Lee in "Game of Death" has been replicated countless times since, from Tarantino's Kill Bill to SpongeBob SquarePants.

The suit - one of the most recognizable costumes in film history - is set to go on sale with auctioneers Goldin, with bids already topping $130,000 (£97,400).

Lee, a Hong Kong-American martial artist and actor, tragically died aged just 32 whilst filming "Game of Death" in 1973.

At the time of his death, only around 120 minutes of footage had been shot for the film.

Lee planned to return to filming "Game of Death" after finishing 1973's "Enter the Dragon".

The final version of "Game of Death", released in 1978, includes Lee for just 12 minutes and 41 seconds.

The instantly recognizable jumpsuit was one of only two made for Lee, which he wore in the legendary pagoda fight scenes in the film.

Comparable with Superman's cape or Indiana Jones' fedora, the jumpsuit has been honored and replicated in various forms of media over the years, including other films, manga and anime, video games, TV shows, and music videos.

In Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" films, Uma Thurman's character dons an almost identical suit.

"Bruce Lee is a global icon, and authentic collectables connected directly to him are among the rarest and most sought-after in the world," Ken Goldin, CEO and Founder of Goldin, said.

"The 'Game of Death' jumpsuit is his most famous on-screen outfit, and one of the most recognizable costumes in movie history.

"It's a tangible piece of Lee's lasting cultural legacy."

Goldin's auction for the jumpsuit, which was featured on the third season on Netflix show "King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch", closes on Sunday (March 8).
