The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced a project to replace culverts along the entire length of Hwy. AA south of Festus. The work was expected to start today, March 25, and continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays through mid-April, weather permitting, the agency reported.
Crews will start replacing the culverts at the east of the road first and work their way west. Sections of the highway will be closed to through traffic during the work periods. The various closures are expected to last two to three days each.
The first section to be closed will be at the Hwy. AA east dead end to Weaver Road.
