The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that it plans to open a new roundabout under construction in the southeast portion of the I-55/Hwy. 67 interchange south of Festus at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
When it opens, motorists heading north on I-55 and taking Exit 174 will use the new roundabout to continue on northbound Hwy. 67. Drivers traveling north on I-55 at the exit to southbound Hwy. 67 will continue to use the existing loop ramp in the northeast quadrant.
The roundabout is part of the project underway to widen I-55 from Hwy. Z in Pevely to Hwy. 67 south of Festus. All scheduled work is weather-permitting, MoDOT officials said.

In October 2024, MoDOT closed the southbound I-55 loop ramp exit to northbound Hwy. 67 at Festus and opened a newly modified exit from I-55 to Hwy. 67.
