The Jefferson County Leader recently won seven awards in the 2017 Missouri Advertising Manager’s Association Best Ad Contest. In addition, the Arnold-Imperial Leader won one award in the contest.
Glenda O’Tool Potts and Debbie Skaggs won a first-place award for Best Single Classified Display Ad for a Great Mines Health Center ad.
Potts and Michelle Engelhardt won a second-place award for Best Ad No Smaller Than a 1/4 Page for a Mapaville Fire Protection District ad.
Skaggs and Mark Grebe won a third-place award for Best Single Classified Display Ad for a Gramps & Granny ad.
Fourth-place awards went to Potts and Engelhardt for Best Ad Smaller than 1/4 Page for an ES Leonard Contracting ad and to Skaggs and Jeff Adams for Best Single Classified Display Ad for a for sale by owner ad. In addition, the entire Leader sales and composing staff won a fourth-place award for Best One Time Special Section for its Father’s Day section.
An honorable mention went to Potts and Skaggs for Best Full Page Ad for a Reuther Ford ad.
A fourth-place award went to Engelhardt and Rob Schneider for Best Ad No Smaller Than a 1/4 Page for a Fortune Bank ad that ran in the Arnold-Imperial Leader.
MAMA is part of the Missouri Press Association. The awards were presented at the annual MAMA meeting, held April 6-7 in Columbia.
