The Arnold Kiwanis Club recently awarded a $500 scholarship to Michael Drury, a 2017 Seckman High School graduate who has enrolled at Jefferson College. He received the scholarship at the club’s July 11 monthly luncheon meeting at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Arnold.
The Kiwanis Club is seeking new members and will hold a membership drive from 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road. The club currently has about 15 members, and some of them will be on hand at the membership drive to answer questions about the club and its service projects and fundraisers.
The Kiwanis Club’s next event will be a car show, beginning at 9 a.m. Oct. 14 at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Bouelvard near the Meramec River.
