boil water

A boil water order for several Pevely streets went into effect Monday (Jan. 22) and is expected to be lifted Thursday (Jan. 25), city officials announced.

The order covers city water customers who live along Village Green Drive, Pevely Manor Drive, Dow Industrial Drive and Main Street east of Pevely City Hall. Anyone who has lost water pressure or water service is advised to boil water for consumption.

City water customers on those streets are advised to boil any water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or otherwise ingested. City water may be used for bathing and cleaning without first being boiled, city officials advise.

Customers should run water to release air in the lines.
