Babb, 42, of Portageville was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer south on Hwy. 141 and struck the rear of a southbound 2004 Ford Explorer that was stopping ahead for traffic, and that collision resulted in a chain reaction, with the Explorer then striking a southbound 2008 Kia Sedona, the report said.
After the Explorer struck the Sedona, the Explorer continued forward and struck a southbound 2015 Buick LaCrosse, which was pushed forward and struck the rear of a trailer hitch on a southbound 2005 Dodge Ram 1500, according to the report.
In addition, after the original collision, the Trailblazer continued forward and struck the Sedona, the report said.

Melissa S. Catterlin, 33, of Fenton was driving the Sedona, and she sustained minor injuries and was taken by private conveyance to St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

No injuries were reported for Babb, but a passenger in the Trailblazer, Lilybeth L. Babb, 14, of Portageville, sustained minor injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
All those involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
