Two 26-year-old men were injured in a motorcycle crash April 20 on Schumacher Road north of Hidden Hollow Farm Road in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:35 p.m., Brian S. Shevlin of High Ridge was riding a southbound 2012 Harley Davidson FXD when he braked, causing the motorcycle to skid, turn to the right, overturn and eject the riders, the report said.
Shevlin was seriously injured and a passenger, Minor J. Jones of House Springs, was moderately injured, the report said. Both were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
According to a hospital spokesman, Jones was treated and released, and the hospital did not have information on Shevlin.
According to the report, neither Shevlin nor Jones were wearing state-approved safety helmets, and the motorcycle had minor damage.
