Two women from High Ridge were taken to a hospital after they were injured in a three-vehicle accident at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 30) on Hwy. 30 at High Ridge Boulevard in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Shirley M. Casteel, 79, and Andrea D. Cline, 45, were both taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South (formerly St. Anthony’s Medical Center) in south St. Louis County with moderate injuries, the report said. An update on their conditions were not available this morning (Dec. 31).

Casteel was wearing a seat belt, and it was not known if Cline was wearing a seat belt, the report said.

Casteel, who was driving a 2011 Chrysler 300, allegedly made an improper left turn into the path of a 2016 Dodge Challenger, which was being driven by Paul E. Cline, 46, of High Ridge. Andrea Cline was a passenger in the Challenger, the report said.

The Challenger hit the passenger side of the Chrysler, and it then struck the left side of a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. Robert J. Bickl, 35, of Fenton was driving the Lumina, the report said.

There were no injuries reported for Paul Cline or Bickl. Paul Cline was not wearing a seat belt, and Bickl was wearing a seat belt, the report said.

All three vehicles were totaled, according to the report.
