A De Soto man and woman were injured early Monday morning (May 20) in a motorcycle wreck on Hwy. 21 south of Mothershead Road west of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 12:10 a.m., Albert L. Woods III, 41, of De Soto was riding a 2006 Buell Blast north on Hwy. 21 when the motorcycle’s front tire blew out, causing it to overturn and eject Woods and a passenger on the bike – Rebecca F. Hicks, 30, of De Soto, the report said.
Woods was moderately injured and taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said May 21.
Hicks had minor injuries and was taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Woods and Hicks were wearing helmets, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle had minor damage, the report said.
