A car crashed into the front of the White Castle, 78 Hilltop Village Center Drive, in Eureka. Before the collision, an SUV struck the car, which spun off the road and then hit the restaurant, Eureka Police reported.

The accident occurred at 12:37 p.m. May 23, when an 18-year-old Eureka woman, driving the 2007 Chevrolet Blazer SUV, was turning left from a carwash on Hilltop Village Center Drive onto Fifth Street and failed to yield to the eastbound car and struck it. A 68-year-old Eureka woman was driving the car, a 2008 Kia Rondo, the report said.

The front right portion of the Blazer hit the back left side of the Rondo, which then crossed the westbound lane and went off the side of the road. The Rondo then struck an AT&T cable box and went through a metal fence before it crashed into patio furniture and the front of the restaurant, according to the report.

No injuries were reported for the twp drivers or a 14-year-old from Eureka boy who was a passenger in the Blazer. The Rondo was towed, but the Blazer was driven away from the accident scene, the report said.

No arrests were made after the accident, Capt. David Wilson said.

Eureka Police did not have an estimate for the damage to the restaurant. Police also didn’t know if the restaurant had to be closed for any length of time after the accident.
