A 29-year-old St. Louis woman was arrested Friday night (May 22) for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following an ATV accident on Saline Road west of Romaine Creek Road in unincorporated Fenton that left two people injured, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 8:45 p.m., the woman was riding a 2018 Polaris RZR with two passengers on board, and the all-terrain vehicle ran off the left side of the road and overturned, the report said.

No injuries were reported for the St. Louis woman.

However, the two passengers – Kenneth W. Rose, 32 of High Ridge and Janel M. Ruzicka, 28, of High Ridge – were seriously injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.

The St. Louis woman was using a safety device, but the two passengers were not, the patrol reported.

The ATV was totaled, the report said.

At about 9:30 p.m., the highway patrol arrested the St. Louis woman for DWI resulting in serious physical injury, according to the report.

Her name will not be published unless charges are filed, and as of this afternoon (May 23), none had been filed.
