traffic accident 3

Six people, including five Jefferson Countians, were hurt at 3:45 p.m. Sunday (April 7) in a three-car accident on Old Hwy. 21 at Four Ridge Road at the border between Imperial and House Springs, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Cheyenne M. Dulaney, 24, of Arnold had stopped in a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina at a stop sign on West Four Ridge Road, and then while attempting to cross Old Hwy. 21 onto East Four Ridge Road, she failed to yield to a 2004 Honda Accord headed north on Old Hwy. 21, and the front of the Accord struck the right side of the Lumina, the report said.

The impact of that collision pushed both the Lumina and the Accord into the left side of a northbound 1997 Toyota Camry that was stopped at a stop sign on East Four Ridge Road, according to the report.

Diane E. Parker, 59, of House Springs was driving the Accord, and Donna L. Kaiser, 61, of St. Louis was driving the Camry, according to a report.

Dulaney had a minor injury, Parker was moderately hurt and Kaiser had a minor injury. In addition, a passenger in the Lumina – Laura A. Stevens, 59, of Arnold – was moderately hurt, and two passengers in the Accord – Jake M. Parker, 12, and Nathan H. Parker, 15, both of House Springs – had minor injuries, the report said.

Dulaney and Kaiser were taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, and the rest of those hurt in the accident were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South, according to the report.

The Parkers, along with Stevens and Kaiser, were treated and released, a Mercy South spokesman said Monday (April 8).

However, the hospital had no information about Dulaney, the spokesman said.

All six people were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The Lumina and Accord were extensively damaged, and the Camry was moderately damaged, the report said.
