A Park Hills woman was arrested after she was driving a car on Hwy. 67 north of Oakvale Road southeast of De Soto and allegedly struck a Columbia man who was pushing a stranded car toward the right shoulder. He was seriously injured, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, Dustin M. Short, 38, was in the right lane on southbound Hwy. 67 pushing the vehicle when the 33-year-old Park Hills woman was driving south in a 2010 Cadillac CTS and struck Short, the report said.

He was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur where he was listed in critical condition today, Nov. 16, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The driver was wearing a seat belt, and the Cadillac was moderately damaged, the patrol reported.

The highway patrol arrested the woman late that evening for driving with a revoked license, and she was being held at Jefferson County Jail, the report said.

The woman’s name will not be published unless charges are filed against her, and as of this afternoon, none had been filed.
