One westbound lane on I-44 in Eureka reopened at about 8:30 a.m. today, Sept. 8, Eureka Police Lt. Brett Grittini said.
The interstate closed following an accident at about 7:40 a.m. Grittini said a flatbed truck ran into the back of tractor-trailer near the Six Flags Road exit.
Grittini said more lanes were expected to reopen soon, and the Eureka Police were still investigating the cause of the accident.
