A Barnhart woman was injured late Friday afternoon, March 15, in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 61-67 north of Becker Drive in the Arnold area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 4 p.m., Margaret L. Meyer, 68, of Barnhart was driving a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Blazer and while turning left, crossed the double, yellow center line, and the front of the SUV struck the front of an eastbound 2019 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Shawn T. McAfee, 22, of High Ridge, who was pulling out of a private drive, the report said.

No injuries were reported for McAfee.

However, Meyer was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, according to the report.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The two vehicles were moderately damaged, the report said.
