A High Ridge man and a Festus woman were injured Thursday night, May 19, in a three-vehicle accident at Hwy. MM east of Eagles Ridge in House Springs, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 8:47 p.m., Cody R. Young, 30, of High Ridge was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada east when he lost control and the SUV crossed the center line, and the front of a westbound 2016 Fiat 500X, driven by Jillian M. Myers, 23, of Festus struck the front of the Bravada. The impact caused another vehicle, a 2007 BMW 328i driven west by Michael D. Rock, 37, of Wildwood, to strike the Bravada as well, the report said.

Young was seriously injured and Myers was moderately injured and both were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where Myers was treated and released, and Young was listed in satisfactory condition Friday afternoon, May 20, a hospital spokesman said.

Myers and Rock were wearing seat belts. It is unknown if Young was wearing one, the patrol reported.

All three vehicles were totaled, the report said.
