Ally Moore, 18, of Imperial died Dec. 30 in a one-car accident on I-55 near the Loughborough Avenue exit in St. Louis, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police.
At about 2 p.m., Moore was driving a 2010 Honda Civic north on I-55, allegedly at a high rate of speed, and the car ran off the left side of the interstate and rolled down a grass embankment. Moore was ejected as the Honda rolled down the embankment, the report said.
An 18-year-old man also was in the car. Police did not identify him.
No injuries were reported for the passenger, but he and Moore were taken to an area hospital, where Moore was pronounced dead, according to the report.
As of Monday (Jan. 4), police continued to investigate the crash, the report said.
