An Imperial teenager and an Arnold woman were injured Friday night, Oct. 25, in a two-vehicle accident at Seckman Road and Frisco Hill Road in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 9:40 p.m., the teen, a 16-year-old boy, was driving a westbound 2004 Ford Explorer and while trying to turn left onto Seckman Road, he failed to yield to an eastbound 2003 Jeep Wrangler, and the front of the Wrangler struck the side of the Explorer, the report said.
Lindsey L. Owens, 40, of Arnold was driving the Wrangler. No injuries were reported for her.
However, the teen and a passenger in the Wrangler – Vicki M. Therrell, 63, of Arnold – were moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, according to the report.
The two drivers and Therrell were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Explorer was totaled, and the Wrangler was moderately damaged, the report said.
The highway patrol did not release the teen’s name because he is a juvenile.
