James A. Rhodes, 28, of Imperial was hurt Monday afternoon (May 11) in a one-vehicle accident on Pioneer Road south of Hwy. A northeast of Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2 p.m., Rhodes was driving a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo north on Pioneer Road and ran off the right side of the road, where the SUV struck concrete retaining wall blocks, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition today (May 12), a hospital spokesman said.
Rhodes was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The SUV was totaled, the report said.
