A man, woman and child, all of Hillsboro, were injured this morning, Sept. 22, in a one-car accident on Old Hwy. 21 south of Goldman Spur Road north of Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 11:28 a.m., Lee D. Iman, 30, of Hillsboro was driving a 2008 Buick Lucerne south on the highway and struck a deer, the report said.
He and one of the passengers in the car – Samantha D. Wilson, 31, of Hillsboro – were moderately injured, and another passenger, a Hillsboro boy younger than 1, sustained minor injuries. All three were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, according to the report.
The driver and passengers were wearing seat belts or using a safety device, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
