Jerry L. Uhlhorn III, 37, of House Springs was injured this afternoon, June 18, in a motorcycle accident on Hwy. 30 west of High Ridge Boulevard in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:52 p.m., Uhlhorn was riding a 2004 Yamaha FZ6 west on the highway and the motorcycle stopped running, so he tried to pull off the road, and while doing so, hit a curb, and the bike fell over, ejecting him, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
Uhlhorn was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was extensively damaged, the report said.
