An Imperial woman and a High Ridge woman were injured this morning, April 26, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 30 and Delores Drive in the Murphy area in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:11 a.m., Bruce C. Santhuff, 62, of Imperial, who was headed west in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, reportedly ran a red light and while turning left from the highway onto Delores Drive, struck an eastbound 2015 Jeep Cherokee driven by Hollie I. Smith, 24, of High Ridge, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Santhuff.
However, Hollie Smith was moderately injured and taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, and a passenger in the Cherokee – Dial L. Smith, 62, of Imperial – was seriously injured and taken to the hospital by North Jefferson County Ambulance, the report said.
Both Hollie and Dial were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Hollie and Dial both were wearing seat belts, and Santhuff was not wearing one.
The Cherokee was totaled, and the Silverado was extensively damaged, the report said.
