A Hillsboro man was seriously injured today, Sept. 1, in a one-car accident on Hwy. H west of Maness Road west of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:45 a.m., Paul W. Crane, 47, of Hillsboro was driving a 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata west on the highway, ran off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole guy-wire and overturned, the report said.
Crane was taken by Survival Flight helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in critical condition late Thursday afternoon, Sept. 1, a hospital spokesperson said.
According to the report, Crane was not wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled.
