A High Ridge woman was injured Tuesday evening, May 31, in a two-vehicle accident on I-55 between South Lindbergh Boulevard and Reavis Barracks Road in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:37 p.m., Bethany H. Bollinger, 38, of High Ridge was driving a northbound 2004 Saturn Ion and while merging onto the interstate, she reportedly made an unsafe lane change, and the left rear side of the car struck the right front of a northbound 2002 Ford F350 driven by Bernard Cobillas III, 67, of St. Louis. Bollinger then lost control of the car, which struck a concrete median, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Cobillas.
Bollinger was moderately injured and transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in satisfactory condition Wednesday afternoon, June 1, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The car was totaled and the pickup was moderate damaged.
