A High Ridge woman was hurt in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon (April 24) on Old Hwy. 21 in the Meramec Heights area west of Arnold.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Jason Bell, 36, of St. Louis was pulling a 1997 Kenworth tractor-trailer out of a business parking lot onto Old Hwy. 21 south of Konert Road at 3:50 p.m. when the trailer section of the rig was struck by a northbound 2007 Pontiac GS driven by Brittany Macaluso, 20, of High Ridge.
Bell was uninjured in the crash, but Macaluso sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, the report said.
Macaluso was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, the report said.
The Kenworth sustained minor damage while the Pontiac was totaled, the report said.
