Ian D. Cornett, 44, of High Ridge was seriously hurt Thursday evening (Aug. 19) in a motorcycle accident at New Sugar Creek and Gravois roads in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:20 p.m., Heather M. Wilson, 43, of Fenton was driving a southbound 2020 Ford Edge and reportedly failed to yield to Cornett, who was riding a northbound 2019 Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra, and while Wilson was turning left, pulled in front of the motorcycle and hit it head-on, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Wilson.
Cornett was taken by North Jefferson Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South, according to the report.
However, the hospital had no information about him, a Mercy spokesman said.
Wilson was wearing a seat belt, and Cornett was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was extensively damaged, and the car was moderately damaged the report said.
