Samuel E. Thiel, 19, of High Ridge was seriously injured Wednesday evening, April 19, in an all-terrain vehicle accident on Dillon Road south of Wildwind Lane in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:20 p.m., Thiel was riding a northbound 2001 Yamaha Blaster four-wheeler, and it ran off the left side of the road and struck a guard rail, ejecting him, the report said.
He was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in satisfactory condition today, April 21, a hospital spokeswoman said.
He was using a safety device, the patrol reported.
The ATV was totaled, the report said.
