A pedestrian, Thomas Bertel, 59, of High Ridge, died Thursday evening (Dec. 3) after he was hit by a pickup in a parking in the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard in Fenton, St. Louis County Police reported.
At about 6:35 p.m., Bertel, who lived on Antire Road, was struck by a 2019 Ford F-250 in the parking lot. He was transported to an area hospital, where he later died, the police reported.
A 76-year-old Fenton man was driving the pickup, and he is cooperating with investigators from the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, media relations officer Tracy Panus said.
Panus also said the incident appears to be accidental.
